The eating pleasure

Between the little streets of Siena you can find a lot of places to eat, take a sandwich or a glass of wine…here you can find our favorites.
P.S. the restaurants in Siena are most of all small and they don’t have a lot of tables to sit so we suggest always to book in advance.

• “Vinaio di Bobbe e Davide” in “Via Camollia” has really good cold cuts, pici ( traditional type of pasta ) and tripe ( really traditional too ). You can find also other plates of the region like cod with tomatoes sauce, meatballs, sausages and beans and for those who want to experiment the “tegamata” of snails.
• “Ristorante Salefino” in “Piazza del Sale”, young and charme with a menù that changes frequently has a wonderful research of the best tuscan products with a bit of fish too, in front of they have opened also “Bottiglieria Salefino”, with a wonderful selection of wines where you can do an aperitivo.
• “Crudo e Bollicine” in “Via Pantaneto” has the best meat for tartare and carpaccio ( here you cannot book a table so don’t go there in the rush hour! )
• “Campo Cedro” in “Pian d’Ovile”, is an international restaurant, the chef that comes from Japan take a perfect mix of his culture and the tuscan one of his wife that is from Siena.

We hope that these suggestions make your stay more pleasant.
But remember that Siena is a little part of a beautiful mosaic, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montalcino and Montepulciano, the Chianti and the Val d’Orcia are pieces of a magnificent territory that has to be explored.
